actually it looks like this only affects those that were made as "manga" rather than "illustration gallery". both use the same link, but while regular gallery works fine, manga one is much different and unaffected by the script.
it may be something new too, other than one set i found by accident i can't find this used anywhere else.

nsfw warning. lol.
it doesn't look like the script works anymore. they turned the viewer into some kind of really laggy one that doesn't load files fast enough, with buttons constantly not doing anything.
if you have any images, especially tall ones on your pixiv and go into your profile, the default state will often push the favorites and edit buttons off screen.
if you hover over that picture to load its metadata, it will get even worse, since author name and direct link will push it even further down, almost always hiding the favorites and edit.
is it possible to reorganize this somehow so that the stuff that keeps vanishing won't?
Re: @TimidScript:
thanks, this works.
Re: @TimidScript:
how about making it optional then, so those who want it can turn it on, while those who don't can turn it off?
the screen keeps jumping back to the left after closing the side menu, and will you bring back the blue border or some other way to mark if an image/page was already viewed?
i usually check several different tags, probably over 15, and it gets hard to remember if i already viewed/saved the picture or not yet, especially if i check them pretty much daily.
is it possible to bring back that feature?
it looks like sometimes when a full image's extension is png while its preview is jpg, the source won't work and go to 404.
example:
http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=52415438
things such as new work: following and new work: everyone are missing the preview boxes. the p++ icon box doesn't appear on that page anymore either, it looks like the code no longer activates on that page. as far as i remember it used to work there.
using newest chrome.
when you open the manga view and go to the top left box that shows author, title etc. two of the links will lead to undefined error.
author icon will lead to http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=undefined
author name will lead to http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?id=undefined
Manga Viewer v.2.2.23, chrome.
scripts are currently unusable in firefox due to greasemonkey 3.x's huge memory and cpu leaks which makes browser unresponsive after a short while, and scripts not working on gm 2.3.1 anymore.
Re: @TimidScript:
installing it on clean chrome replicated it too though. i'll try, but i'm not holding my breath.
i don't have show thumbnails button under it at all. in fact, the script doesn't work there at all now that i look at it better. none of pixiv++'s functions appear.
i wonder if it may be happening since it's my picture. maybe the page formats links differently for the author.
Re: @TimidScript:

even with 3.2.73 it doesn't give me the box.
http://www.pixiv.net/search.php?s_mode=s_tag_full&word=%E3%83%91%E3%83%A1%E3%83%A9%E3%83%BB%E3%82%A4%E3%83%BC%E3%83%93%E3%82%B9
in this case, the second picture in second row doesn't display the preview box in either chrome or firefox. note, needs to be logged in/nsfw enabled to see it.
pixiv++ 3.2.72, greasemonkey 3.2
i think you set something wrong in there, it gives a 404 error when trying to install it.
culprit is probably the localhost link. don't think that'll work for anyone.
http://localhost/uso/TimidScript/Libraries/Pixiv.js
is the phone api permanently dead, or just temporarily?
if just temp, i imagine making it so it goes for phone api, but if it's not working it falls back on the older method would be best.
if permanently, then well, shit, though japan killing its mobile support doesn't sound likely.
those problems happen in stable firefox too. it's not just a beta problem.
it seems it's placed on the side of some pictures instead of below them.
here's an example: http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=1077131
not sure whether the specific picture's a problem, or maybe it's because it's so small.
happens in both firefox and chrome.
yeah. they also changed something in the bookmarks, the script no longer activates there.
i think they changed something again. the links died all of a sudden.
all of them go to something like http://i1.pixiv.net/c/480x960/img-master/img/ which gives a 404 error.
Re: @yarrmateys:
it looks like it doesn't keep the original extensions anymore either. thumbnails are always jpg even if image is png or gif, which will probably affect getting the direct link, since a simple string replacement to get it isn't possible anymore.
ever since a few days ago (i think) pixiv started using a different style of links for new images.
it uses links like http://i2.pixiv.net/c/600x600/img-master/img/2014/09/25/09/01/02/46174241_p0_master1200.jpg for thumbnails, and http://i2.pixiv.net/img-original/img/2014/09/25/09/01/02/46174241_p0.jpg for full images.
pixiv++ doesn't seem to understand the new linking style and leads to error links, and on search doesn't display the hover boxes for the new link style images.
