To secure your place in MIQ in NZ, install the Tampermonkey chrome extension & head to https://allocation.miq.govt.nz/ . READ THIS FIRST - we only automate the checking for dates, not the submission itself. Register and go to "step 2 - hold your accomodation", enable this, scroll down to step 3 area in the step 2 page, click START AUTO CHECK after entering seconds until refresh (suggest 20 seconds). To check it will work, click SIMULATE to see what will happen when a date is found - turn up your volume to be notified when there is a day available. Now you're ready, refresh the page and click "START AUTO CHECK" again. You will see it refreshing and scrolling to the bottom and scrolling the date picker to check for dates within milliseconds. Now wait - it may be a long wait, keep checking back that it is refreshing every X seconds - expect days and you might be surprised - MIQ is very busy. When you hear the ‘welcome home song’ quickly run back to your computer, check the form for and the date picker for the available date, and tick the "I'm not a robot" tick (there may be an image puzzle to solve), then the "Next" button - this secures your place and allows you to continue to step 3. You will then have 48 hours to secure a flight to land on that day. Continue the form as normal.
