GitHub Commits Quick Jump

🚀 Jump to the first commit of any GitHub project with one click

Features

Adds two quick navigation buttons on GitHub commits history page:

  • ⏮ First - Jump to the latest commits (first page)
  • Last ⏭ - Jump to the earliest commit (last page)

Installation

Prerequisites

Install a userscript manager (choose one):

Install Script

Option 1: Install from Greasy Fork (Recommended)

Install from Greasy Fork

Option 2: Install from GitHub

Click the link below, your userscript manager will prompt for installation:

👉 Install Script

Usage

  1. Visit any GitHub repository's main page (the script will automatically capture the commit count)
  2. Navigate to the commits history page
  3. You'll see ⏮ First and Last ⏭ buttons in the pagination area
  4. Click to jump

Why?

GitHub doesn't provide a way to jump to the last page directly. For large projects like ant-design (30k+ commits), viewing the first commit requires clicking through countless pagination buttons.

This script lets you travel back to the moment a project was born ✨
